My wife and I went out early this morning and voted. Our state of Kentucky went McCain, WOO HOO. Mitch McConnell has won his Senate seat, WOO HOO. Well, that is the good news.

As I am watching these results, only one thing left to do...START DRINKING. What are these people thinking? He is Muslim. He wasn't born in the United States. He is a Socialist. He has terrorist ties. His preacher is a wack-job. Doesn't anybody remember 9/11? I could go on and on about this guy. All I can say now is welcome to the Socialist States of America. We are going to become the ultimate nanny country until the money is all gone. Then the country will be so broke that my Great-Grandchildren will ask, "What happened Grandpa?" My only response can be, "Don't blame me, I voted for McCain."

This is my favorite movie of all time. I can't count how many times I have watched it. Too bad Brandon Lee died making it. Even though the movie is action packed with alot of killing and vengence, it is a love story. Eric Draven and his fiance Shelly Webster are murdered on the night before their wedding day, October 31st. A year later Eric returns, because the crow brings him back to make the wrong things right, to advenge their murders.

Many times others have tried to make another Crow movie. The only one that I can truly say that can even hold a candle to the original Crow would be Salvation. The reason that I say this, is because the writers of this version made it stand on its own instead of trying to have the actor be like Brandon. Wicked Prayer, eh it was ok, more action than substance. City of Angels SUCKED. They tried to hard to have the success that the first Crow had. That happens to most sequals.

I Can’t Afford Anymore “Change”

Tonight is the big Obamamercial on tv tonight. He’s just lucky he did’nt schedule half hour last night and interfere with me watching NCIS. That would have really pissed me off. Thank g-d for “On Demand” cable, so while the Obamessiah is selling you his snake oil he calls “Hope & Change”, I’ll be watching something else like “Lethal Weapon 3″ or a CSI rerun.

I got to thinking today, George Bush has been President for almost 8 yrs. We have not experienced the horror of another attack from Islamofacists since 9/11, and for the first 6 yrs of his Leadership the economy for all general purposes has been good. We’ve had high levels consumer confidence and gas prices that at an average were around $2.25 a gallon, low unemployment and the stock market was setting records with the Dow Jones average at around 14000. Americans were spending money on trips and cars. Then “Change” happend.

In 2006, Americans gave the Democrats the majority in both the House of Reprentatives and the Senate. What do we have to show for that now? All that “Change” the Democrats have promised has left us with less change in our pockets. Home Foreclosures are at a record high, the value of our homes (equity) has fallen, gas was over $4.00 a gallon, the Dow Jones Stock Average took a nose dive, and consumer confidence is now at an all time low.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I can afford any more “Change” that the Democrats have in store for us, particularly Barack Obama who wants to take “Change” from those who work and turn it into cash for those who don’t by “Spreading The Wealth”.

Memo to Barack Obama……Keep the change!

NFL.com has learned that the Cincinnati Bengals football practice was delayed for two hours earlier today. One of the players, while on his way to the locker room, happened to look down and notice a suspicious-looking, unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head Coach Marvin Lewis immediately suspended practice while the FBI was called in to investigate. After a complete field analysis, the FBI determined that the white substance unknown to the players was the goal line. Practice was resumed after FBI Special Agents agreed that the team would not be likely to encounter the substance again.

Football is a tough enough sport. Two teams battling 11 on 11 for field position and scoring. They have a rule that no more than 11 players can be on the field for either side or you will be flagged for a five yard penalty. What the hell? I haven't posted on this blog for over a year? The reason was no one was ever stopping by or posting on it. The only stuff I was getting was the same old BS of trying to get me to sign up for stuff. Tonight, I said "What the hell? I will start posting again for the heck of it."

It is not like any one will see what I write. So I am going to start writing for the heck of it and see what happens. If you like what I write, leave a comment. It will encourage me to keep doing this. Otherwise, I will stop and not post for another year.

Fantasy Football 2007

My roster this NFL season looks very similar to last year. I guess with auction drafts, you get what you can get. I was realy strapped for cash toward the end of the draft to go for some big name stars. I ended up getting two of my QBs back, Matt Hasselbeck and Ben Roethlisberger. WR Bernard Berrian and the New Orleans Defense also returned. This goes along with my keepers of WR Chad Johnson and RBs Laurence Maroney and Reggie Bush. Last year I was 9th amongst 10 teams. Sometimes when players have a down year, the next season they score high points. I hope this is the case for me.

I guess I will do my speculation just like everyone else is doing. They are saying in the media, that he will serve 12-18 months. Also, this judge can give him up to five years. I have also heard on ESPN, that on a federal sentence that you usually serve about 85% of that term. Then the rest is at a halfway house. We will all find out what this judge decides in the next few weeks.

I don't know what everyone is all up in arms about, he wasn't that great of a quarterback any way. He can run the ball better than he can pass the ball. If the commissioner ever does lift his suspension of Vick, he would be better to come back as a wide receiver. He doesn't have the body of a running back. If the commissioner doesn't lift the suspension, there is always the CFL or Arena Football.

As a dog owner myself, he deserves anything and everything he gets.

Today was a Wii Day

It was a good day today. My family and I have been collecting Coke codes all year long. I had my Mom, my sister, and people at work giving me 12 pack flaps. We would go out for walks around town during good weather days and check trash to find caps or flaps for codes. After a lot of searching and code entering, we broke the 6250 point threshold. We should have our Nintendo Wii in two to four weeks.

Last year we collected the Coke codes and our goal was to get a Playstation 2. We were less than 60 points shy when all of a sudden, it was no longer listed on the website. UGH, all that work for not. Not quite so. The Blockbuster $100 Gift Cards were still listed on the site for 750 points. This year they were on there for 1000 points. Yeah, got one of them too. Was able to get six used Playstation games. I digress. I used the Gift Card from last year to purchase a used PS2. Took it home, hooked it up, and the game my son rented didn't boot up. It looked as if the game was scratched up. I took it back and exchanged it. Got home and the game still didn't boot up. My son's best friend came over with some of his games and they didn't boot up either. So, I packed up the PS2 and went back to Blockbuster. I raised hell when I went in there. I told them that they sold me a broken unit. "Oh no sir, we check all the systems we buy used." Sure enough, they hooked it up and it didn't work. By the time I walked out, my son had a PS2 "Thin" in his hands.

The Coke Rewards program ends at the end of the year, unless they decide to go another year. I hope so, I wouldn't mind getting another game system. I have over 1000 points to enter still. We are looking to get a few more different items before it is all done. It would be nice to know if they are going to do it again next year so I can save my points and not use them on lower point items. It would make it easier to go after the higher point prizes.

The Reviving of my Blog

I haven't blogged in a very long time, as you can see. I have been through alot in the since then. Maybe some day, I will get into all of that mess. So you ask, why revive this blog? Well, fantasy football is going to be starting up in a few weeks. I want to be able to look back at my season and know what I was thinking. It may help in future years to help me win a championship.

There was a rules meeting this past weekend and the major rule change was going from one keeper to three. With keeping a player, their salaries go up. What ever you got the player for last year, you add to their salary. If it is from 1-10 Mil, it goes up 3 Mil. If it is 11+, you add 2 Mil.

Now time to make decisions. I was planning on keeping Chad Johnson anyway. Last year, the rule for the one keeper was he was to be paid 15 Mil. Now I will have to pay him 17 Mil. Looking over the rest of my roster from the 06 season, I got RB Laurence Maroney for a CHEAP 1 Mil. Hell, I will pay 4 Mil to keep a starting RB. Also, to beef up my RBs, which I have been bad at in the past, I am looking to keep Reggie Bush for 12.7 Mil (up from 9.7).

Our league is an auction league with a 100 Mil salary cap. With those three keepers, that is a total of 33.7 Mil. I still have 66.3 for the draft.

Nascar Fever

I am sitting here watching qualifying for the Daytona 500. Finally the fix I have been waiting for. We have been talking Nascar for the past few weeks at work. There have been so many driver, number, and sponsor changes. It is going to take about a month to get use to. I would have enjoyed watching the Bud Shootout under the lights. But it will be on in a few hours. An actual race will really cure that itch. RACING, I love it. It is an awesome sport, next to the NFL. Just like every play and every lap, it could all change the outcome of the game or race. I look forward to the is season as being very successful for Junior. Actually both of them. Wouldn't it be nice for Dale to win the over all championship and Truex to win the rookie of the year? I guess we will find out at the end of the 36 race season.

I have been kind of busy lately. I finally decided to go back to school and finish getting my degree. I stopped going back in May of 99. At the time, I was newly hired on at AACIDNN, I had a four year boy, 1 year old girl, and another boy on the way. With this all on my plate, something had to go. I chose to drop school. Heck, back then there was a lot of overtime and I was supporting them well. Now there is not much of that to talk about. I have achieved a few things since then. The final goal I wanted, was to buy a house and finally be settled. I did that last year. Now I am trying to get back in AASIDNN. I might have hit a financial snag. But I could use something in my favor. While I was out of school, they updated the curriculum. Instead of Electronics Engineering Technology, it is now Computers and Electronic Engineering Technology. I have already been told that I will have a special schedule. I might be able to spread it out long enough so I can take other student loans instead of taking private loans. I need to call the Director of Education and see what kind of schedule I will have to graduate. I need to fill in some gaps, so if it takes longer it might benefit me. Until then, it is up in the air. Well, I should get off here and see what else I can do to get the money issue out of the way.

Oh, my pick for the Super Bowl was the Steelers. No, I am not saying this to cover my ass. My wife baked a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and GO Steelers written in yellow (I have a picture to prove it). I haven't downloaded the pictures to my desktop yet. If you all want to see it just ask.

Any way, I was going to write about how I can be torn on who to pick. The Sentimental Favorite or The Hometown Favorite. I am from the Cincinnati area and most of the people around here were pissed about the Second Play. They wanted the Steelers to loose for what happened. Also, they were pulling for Shaun Alexander. He played for Boone County High School, which is about a half hour from here. I can see the Seahawks getting back there next year against a different opponent. They are not loosing any players that can't be replaced. They will sign Alexander, I am sure of that. I was pulling for the sentimental favorite of The Bus. He has been such a great player and ambassador for the NFL, he deserved to win a championship. It put a fitting end to a great career. I commented over at GOC about how I feel about some of the calls in the game.

NFC and AFC Champ Picks

This week I am going with the sentimental and home town picks. I am rooting for Pittsburgh because of Jerome Bettis. This man has had a long and tremendous career. He is definitely a first ballot Hall of Famer. I don't think I will see any arguments there. The home town boy you ask? Answer: Shaun Alexander. He grew up about a half hour from here playing for Boone County High School. Every week he was getting write-ups in the paper. They would just destroy teams. When he was at the end of his last contract, I was wanting him to sign with the Bengals, so I could have a better chance of seeing play live again. Crazier things have happened in the NFL, but I think we will retire a Seahawk. But we have seen Montana and others play on different teams before the hung up the cleats. He is one hell of a running back. I think if he gets at least one ring, that would be the stamp on his Hall of Fame ticket. I loved the Dallas Cowboys when they were on their rampage in the 90s. I was telling everyone to watch out for them because of Emmitt Smith. Hell, I named my dog at the time Emmitt, because he was fast. He could get low to the ground and just haul ass. Last week sucked. I went 2-0 on my picks Saturday, but then 0-2 on Sunday. Hopefully this week will be better. I was ticked that Palmer went down with his knee injury. The Bengals looked good in the first half. I thought may be they would have pulled it out. The Steelers went in at half time and remembered that Kanta can't throw the long ball. When your team is built for it and your QB can't do the job, then you are bound to loose.

I know I don't blog much. I just don't find as much time as a use to. I really need to get into a rhythm. I guess that is the one thing I am going to work on this year. Heck, it is Jan 7th already, this is my first post of the year. Great, I guess I started off on the wrong foot.

I never did tell you guys who won the championship. The Krushers handed Guts and Glory a 76-42 defeat. Kaiser road Larry Johnson the last half of the season and through the playoffs. Before the draft, he had already tagged Priest Holmes. Then he picked up Larry Johnson late in the draft. He got one on us and no one picked up on it until we were all reviewing the draft. He was laughing then. He is also laughing now. The trophy should be back before the NFL Super Bowl.

I will be watching all the playoff games because I am a NFL football junky. I don't like college because of no playoffs. I am sure a one or two loss team could be just as good National Champs as a team going in undefeated. I would like to see 16 teams, but right now I would settle for 8. May be then it would be more interesting. So, back to the NFL. Today I am going with the Skins and Pats. I am rooting for Washington because of Joe Gibbs. (Tony Stewart to Joe Gibbs to Redskins) I think New England will win. The Jags just don't have their team ready to make a push through the playoffs. My wife and I hate the Patriots, but we think they are the favorable team to win. They have been there before, so the experience is not that overwhelming. Tomorrow, I will have to take both home teams. I think that the Giants being at home gives them the edge for the win. I think the Bengals will destroy the Steelers. They played poorly in week 16 and didn't even show up week 17. That game didn't matter to them. They weren't too concerned with even being there. Even though they lost, it was nice to see Dick Vermeil go out with a win. They were the most dangerous team NOT to make the playoffs. If they would have made it, this year's playoffs would go very differently. Larry Johnson is a beast. (Don't tag him Kaiser, I want a chance to get him)

On a totally different subject...

I have been laughing my ass off over at GOC. Some dumbass named Rex, had the balls to question a handicapped person's sex life. What a dick? (no pun intended) What is it to him about someone else's sex life unless he is apart of it? I don't think Denny is into guys that way, anyhow. I have been reading this site for over a year and never once have I seen Denny write anything about getting a piece of ass. I really don't care. If he can still get a woman, more power to him. Hell, he has money, so he could have already explored that avenue. There are drugs and pumps out there to make it work. Anything is possible.

Well, it looks as if Bengals WR Chris Henry is on Coach Lewis's shit list. What a stupid thing to do!? He was pulled over on Philadelphia in Covington, KY (which is about 5 minutes from down town). He was pulled over for speeding. This area is residential. Bogus charge. Just looking for a reason to pull him over. He was also charged with expired tags, expired driver's license, and no proof of insurance. The tags were enough to pull him over anyway. I got busted a few years back for mine being 3 months past due. The cop let me go, because I was on my way to work. He could have had me towed, but let me go, because I was going to take care of it after work. I work 3rd at the time.

When the police approached the car, the smelled mary jay. There were stems in the ash tray. When the searched him, he had two bags in his shoe. This all totals up to STUPIDITY. You are on one of the best teams in the league, if not THE BEST. Doing things like this is just plain dumb. Don't do stuff like this during the season. We don't need to be reminded of the Bungals. That was a team that would do stupid things to destroy the team. Get your head on straight and cleaned up. I hope Marvin benches your ass this week. Kelly Washington can fill in this week. Another thing, you have MONEY. I am sure you could have that stuff delivered. Duh, you can't afford that chance of getting busted. Oops, too late for that one. DEE DEE DEE!!!

You could have a great career here in Cincinnati. We just don't need that in the team chemistry. Look at Darrell Russell. He chose the drug route and that ended in a deadly crash. I don't think you want that ending. You are here for a ring. You can help make that happen. Just drop the pipe and catch the ball. Marvin said Jump Higher, not Get Higher.

My team just didn't perform this week. I lost 81-36. The Krushers always have a big week when I play him. I will need to build a team around Chad Johnson next year to try to beat him. That will be the only player I keep off this team. We are only allowed one. He is the best I've got. The championship is Krushers vs Guts.

Still Healing

The Friday after Thanksgiving, I got off early from work. I got home early enough for lunch, so I decided to take the family out to Wendy's.

When we were leaving, I opened the passenger door on the van. Then I turned to open the sliding door for the kids to get in. All of a sudden, BAM!!! The passenger door slammed shut on my middle finger. This was all happened while my wife was getting in on the driver's side. She reached over and tried to open the door. As she did, I pulled. Guess what? I was still stuck, because the door had locked when it closed. She then unlocked the door and then opened the door. I started jumping up and down and screaming my head off. F**k did it hurt.

The way the tip of my finger swelled up, I thought it was broke. The hospital was just up the road, so Mrs. B took me to the hospital to make sure everything was ok. While checking my vitals, I realized I needed my tetnis shot (only 3 yrs late). Three x-rays showed every was intact. I got my shot. It wasn't too bad. The needles have gotten smaller in 13 years. The nurse put a protective plastic splint on my finger to try to prevent me from banging it into things.

The next day, all under the nail was bruised. A couple of days later, the bruising was disappearing, but there was tremendous pressure. I had to take a pair of scissors and scrap a hole through my nail. No nerves in bone, so it didn't hurt. I felt it when I got through though. After that, I put a needle in the little hole to ream it out to make it bigger. This allowed the fluid build up in the damaged area to start draining. The next day, it also started draining from back by the cuticle. Everyonce in a while when the pressure starting building again, all I had to do was press down on the nail and more fluid would flow. Believe me, it felt so much better after that.

This past Monday, I was able to get the nail off. This has really allowed some further healing and less swelling. It is almost back to normal size. Now I have to wait to see if a new nail will grow back. I hope so. I don't want to tell that story the rest of my life. If it does grow back, it will probably grow in gimped for a while. It will take some time to reshape. Below is what it looked like the first day and now. I didn't get any pictures of it in between. Sorry, I was trying to keep it clean so it wouldn't get infected.

If this is the kind of stuff that happens when you leave work early, let me work overtime.

The Playoffs

I finally made it to the playoffs in my third year of fantasy football (actually playing for money). My team was matched up against a division rival, who I lost to twice during the regular season.

After the second set of games, I was up 27-7. Thank you Miami for hammering away at the Bills Defense on a route to a come back win. The Bills ended up only scoring one point even with their bonuses.

My main concern with the Sunday night game was that ShadowKahn still had LT to play. He racked up 29 points against me last week. He also owns the SD Kicker Nate Kaeding, to add the extra points to LT's TDs. Another key factor was him having Kerry Collins against my WRs of Moss and Porter. Wide Receivers rack up yardage points faster than Quarterback's passing yardage.

Early in the Oakland/San Diego game, there was a key goalline stop against LT when the score of my game was 29-24. That had to be a key moment in this matchup. I would have been behind worrying, needing Westbrook to have a good night. As long as he doesn't come out and fumble and gets some yardage, my team will win. I am up now 32-31.

Next week, I go up against a conference opponent and good friend, Kaiser's Krushers (won 61-55). Looks like I have my work cut out for me again. I lost to him twice during the regular season.

In the other conference, Guts and Glory cruised to a mighty defeat of 76-42. The Big Kahunas upset the Nightmares 44-14.

FF Update

Well, to start it off, I lost. I am in as the first wildcard. With Eldora winning their game, it forces rematches of week 12. The division opponents get to play again for a third time. Eldora Highbanks will host Kaiser's Krushers and the Kentucky Intimidators will travel to ShadowKahn. I have lost to him twice. Third time is a charm I hope. I will have to make some decisions on who to start. I have posted my roster in previous posts. If you have any suggestions, let me know. I need to win now. This is loose and go home. In the other conference, The Big Cheeses won their game as they watched the Ligercats choak. All Ligercats had to do was win. He will be back next year with his Seattle loaded team. TBC will be the lucky one to take on Guts and Glory with their Indy loaded team. The Lexington Nightmares will host The Big Kahunas.

She cooked and baked here ass off for two days. I have to commend here on a great dinner. I would have posted a picture of the turkey, but it was so tender, that when I was trying to pick it up out of the roasting pan, he fell apart. The legs and wings came off. We couldn't believe it. All we could do is laugh. The only thing that mattered, was that it tasted good going down!

I won my game this week, 79-54. I finally got game of the week.

With week 12 finally here, there is a lot on the line. In most fantasy leagues, most of this stuff was sorted out weeks ago. Here is a post that is going up on the site today.

We are now down to our final week of the regular season. If you look at the standings and the schedule, you have to thank your scheduling gods. Five of the games have some kind of meaning. It is nice to have some pre-playoff games.

In the Counting Conference, both divisions and even the conference title is on the line. In Division A, the Kaiser's Krushers will take on Eldora Highbanks. If the Krushers win, they win their division. They would need ShadowKahn to loose to win the conference. If Eldora wins, would win the division title due to conference tie-breaker.

In Division B, ShadowKahn takes on the KY Intimidators. If ShadowKahn wins, they will take both their division and conference titles because of the head to head matchups over the Krushers even if they win. If the Intimidators win, they would win the division due to the division record tie-breaker. KYI could also win the conference if they win and KK looses.

The Infinity Conference is a little bit different. When the Lexington Nightmares take on Guts and Glory, it will be for very nice payout (50 bucks + Add/Drop fees). They are playing for the Best Season Record and conference title. GG took the first matchup of 80-32. If Lexington wins, they would win the conference title because of a better conference record. WINNER TAKE ALL!!!

It looks as if no one in this conference wants the second wild card. Both the Barbarians and Big Cheeses lost last week. This week they play each other. If the Insane Barbarians win they are in. If The Big Cheeses win, they would need help. They would need the LigerCats to loose to The Big Kahunas. Yes, that's right, the LigerCats still have a chance. If they win, they would own the tie-breaker from the head to head matchups. The have won two of their three games against TBC.

I will make another post tomorrow on the playoff matchups. I had to get this out early. It looks as if next week in our conference that two games will be winner take all in both of the divisions. Highbanks vs Krushers and Intimidators vs ShadowKahn. It is nice that the schedule has worked out to have some PRE-playoff games.

Tonight I need Favre to score at least 7 points for me to have game of the week. My team has 68 points as of now. I would like to start winning some of my money back before the playoffs. I have come close only a couple of times this season to have GOTW.

Rob from CrabApple put in a comment about only 12 week regular season fantasy football seasons. I asked the same question when I first joined the Counting Infinity Fantasy Football League. The reasonning makes sense. Lets use Peyton Manning for an example. What if the Colts clinch their division and home-field early? Most likely Manning would be benched or playing time reduced to refresh him and save him for the playoffs. If you have him on your team and your league's championship is in week 17, you could possibly loose because the Colts benched him. Not many NFL teams bench stars in week 15. This sets up the 12 week regular season with playoffs 13-15.

The playoffs are in two weeks and you are probably asking yourself,
"What are my chances of making the playoffs?" Here is a look at the
possibilities.

Kaiser's Krushers - next two games against Bengalstorm and Eldora Highbanks
Conference Record 5-3
Already clinched playoff spot. Needs to win both games to claim
division title. KK can afford a loss to Bengalstorm, but would need to
win against Eldora. If win against Bengalstorm and loss to Eldora,
would win division because of division record.

Eldora Highbanks - next two games against ShadowKahn and Kaiser's Krushers
Conference Record 5-3
A win in either game will guarantee a playoff spot. If EH wins their
next two games and KK looses to Bengalstorm, they could steal the
division right out from under KK.

Bengalstorm still has a small chance. Would need to win their final two
games against KK and Brigands, along with Eldora loosing both of their
games. Bengalstorm beat Eldora in week 3, 95-51.

I lost again. This time 67-42. It is hard to come back when the other teams defense put up 29 points. He had Jacksonville defense against Baltimore. At 6-4 I have clinched a playoff spot. I still have a chance for the division title. If I play my cards right, I may even pull off the regular season conference title. I don't want to get ahead of myself. I have been looking over scheduling matchups of weeks 13-15. Some look good, some look iffy. Wish me luck. Looks like I am going to need it.

Needing a Win

This week I am taking on the Kaiser's Krushers. After dropping the Raider's DEF and picking up Green Bay's DEF, my team became a 5 pt underdog. Then Randy Moss was down graded on the injury update in the middle of the week. The new line is minus six. My team usually performs the weeks when I am an underdog, so I am optomistic.

You probably ask yourself, "Green Bay's DEF??? Don't they SUCK???"

Actually, they are not that bad. The reason I dropped Oakland, was that they are playing Denver this week. With CJ on a bye this week, I had to start Lelie. If he scored a TD(Rec 3pt), OAK DEF would loose 2pts (look over the rules posted for Def Scoring in an earlier post). GB Def takes on Atlanta. If they can cause some pressure on Vick, I can get some good points. They have perform better than Oakland anyway. There is also something else that sold me on GB. Championship weekend they play Baltimore. If it is the same Baltimore as right now, it will look like a genious move. But, if Kyle Boller emerges to become something, it may be a bad move. I would have to resort to SD DEF. WHAT AM I SAYING??? Boller???

Losing Sucks

I lost this week to an opponent that I thought I would roll over. Westbrook wasn't enough to overcome a 9pt deficit. He only racked up 3pts. I lost with my worst showing of the season, 39-33. I have only scored in the 30's twice. The last time was back in week 5 with 37. I can't afford any more showings like that. Next week, I play Kaiser's Krushers. He is a good owner and is usually one step ahead of me. Hopefully I can beat him this time. He is favored 56-47. I lost earlier this season 83-48. Carolina WR Steve Smith killed me that week with 18pts against Miami. This week he is up against the Jets. I don't know if that is any better or not. The Jags Def also scored 17pts which is the second highest they have scored this season. They play Baltimore. Well Hell, I think I am done for. I will need to win my last two games to make sure I get in the playoffs. I guess that is why they play the games. But not TO, have fun on the couch the rest of the season.

After a few more demonstrations, he came back and lay down on his towel.

Tonight I am rooting on the Jets defense. I need them to shut down Vick. I am winning 44-19. As long as he doesn't have a career night, I win. ShadowKahn's game is already final, he lost. Good for me. We are now tied again for the division lead as long as I hold on to this 25 point lead. Once again...(and I can't believe I am saying this)

Week 6 of the NFL season probably marks a lot of fantasy football's mid way point of their regular season. There are many people out there wondering what happened. There are teams that started out hot and have died off. There are also teams that keep going strong. I am doing good now at 4-2. Yes, I won this past week, 51-47. I got lucky that TE Dallas Clark didn't catch any of those touchdowns Monday night. My team is keeping pace with ShadowKahn, 5-1. He is a 2 pt favorite over Lexington Nightmares, 3-3. It could be a tough match up for him. Don't let their record full you. They are in front in their division, but have lost a couple of really close games. My team is also a 2 pt favorite over The Big Cheeses, 3-3 (a really big Packer-fan). We fought over Favre. Our games are pivitol for their division. So you know what in the hell I am talking about...

I hate being sick

I started getting sick yesterday. I woke up worse today. My head is congested and my nose wont stop running. UGH!!! I had to call off work. There was no way that I could have gotten through work today. I am most likely taking off tomorrow. I don't want to spread what I have. When it drops into your chest, it is like carrying a 60 lbs kid around all day. The back hurts and you have no energy. Good luck to everyone else out there who haven't gotten sick yet. I am just glad that I am getting this out of the way early. My immune system will be up for the rest of the winter. I don't look forward to getting sick until the season starts to change for spring.

FF Update- I am going into this weekend an 8 pt underdog. That don't mean shit. My team usually performs better the weeks that I am an underdog.

Well, this sucks. I lost 44-37, which makes my current record 3-2. LT is a killer when it comes to fantasy football. His two tds was the deciding factor. Next week I will have Moss and Porter back. Hopefully I can go on a run and win my division. It is going to tough now that I am a game back along with ShadowKahn having the tiebreaker. I definitely need to win our next matchup later in the season.

The funniest thing that happened this week was the new Brigands coach getting the team's first win. My former boss probably feels like crap. Of course he is off work this week, I can't give him any shit about his wife getting the win.

A long awaited post

I have been wanting to post an update about some fantasy football news. If you read the comments, I had a good post going. When I clicked the post button, it told me that blogspot was down for maintenance. Then my wife's parents came in town and never had time to post. Well, here it goes.

The owner of the Brigands quit the league. After I whooped his ass for his fourth loss of the season, his wife decided to take over the team. Right now she is up, 38-34, going into MNF. Even with a good showing this week, she may still not win with McCardell having to play.

I am up 33-22 going in. Looks like a tough night. I have San Diego's Def against LT and Kaeding. Winner is up on division and conference.

Now, here is a little about how fantasy football works. You get about 8-12 people together to form a league. Each owner drafts a team due to league rules. Schedules are made for head to head matchups. Scoring is based on each players stats. Also depending on the league rules, playoffs are set and a champion is crowned. The following is what we have set in our 12 team league.

I had my ass handed to my on a silver platter. I will have cole slaw and fries with that. I lost 83-48. It was all because of matchups. My players had harder matchups compared to the Krushers. We will have a rematch in week 10. The Intimidators look to bounce back against an 0-3 team. It would be nice to hand my ex-boss his fourth loss of the season. He gloated when he whooped on me the past two seasons. Time for payback.

After the conclusion of Sunday's games, KYI won their season opener 36-28. There is a still a long season to go. There may be a few changes to the team come later this week. Look for Kyle Boller to be cut. The problem will come with finding a decent QB to use for a back up (ie Favre's bye week). Speaking of Favre, hopefully this week was an off week. May be dressing more than four receivers could help. How can you have and depth/rotation with only four WRs in GB?
